What are Dermal Fillers?
Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring substance in the body that delivers volume to the skin. Modified HA is the main ingredient in JUVÉDERM® and Revanesse® – Versa™ Lips™ dermal fillers. Getting treated with dermal fillers adds volume to the different areas of the face, which have lost it due to the natural aging process. This temporary volume restoration can give the face a fresh, rejuvenated, and younger-looking appearance.
With fillers we can:
• Create plump and full lips
• Reduce the appearance of hollowed cheeks
• Eliminate nasolabial folds around the mouth and nose
• Target marionette lines at the corners of the mouth
• Create a more prominent and pointed chin
• Define and sculpt the jawline
Are there side effects?
Common side effects following dermal filler injections include some redness, swelling, numbness, and bruising in the treated areas. Swelling can be minimized, and comfort is provided with the use of ice post-procedure. Most side effects diminish on their own within a few hours. You will be able to see results immediately, which will improve as swelling and other side effects fade. Filler treatments can last for 12 months or longer. Additionally, the use of BOTOX® with fillers can provide an enhanced result.
What is the procedure like?
We offer both Juvederm® and Revanesse® collections of fillers. During your cosmetic injection consult, we will assess your face to determine the extent and location of volume loss and determine which filler is best for achieving your desired results. Injections are generally done immediately following the consult. Targeted areas are injected with fillers, with care directed toward ensuring symmetry and balance throughout the face. Once the desired effects are achieved, the appointment is finished, and you may resume your normal activities. We never charge for injection consultations.
